Boom lift and scissor lift rental in Saudi Arabia

Powered access platforms for work at height on piping, steel, facades, cladding and plant maintenance.

Access platforms put people and tools at the work instead of building scaffold for short jobs. We rent boom lifts and scissor lifts for plant inspection, piping and steel work, lighting and cladding.

The choice between scissor and boom comes down to direction of travel: a scissor goes straight up, a boom goes up and over. Our guide explains the difference in detail.

Typical uses

  • Piping, steel and facade work
  • Plant inspection and maintenance
  • Lighting, cladding and fit-out

Typical machine classes

What decides the right machine

Working height and outreach

Working height is usually about two metres above platform height. Tell us the height you need to reach and how far out.

Indoor or outdoor

Electric machines suit indoor and clean floors. Diesel machines suit rough, outdoor ground.

Ground and slope

Platforms need firm, level ground. Soft sand or slopes can rule out a machine or call for ground preparation.

People and tools

Platform capacity limits the number of people and the weight of tools and materials.

Tell us: Working height, outreach needed, indoor or outdoor, floor or ground type.

Safe work at height

  • Follow your site rules for harnesses. Boom lifts normally require a harness attached to the anchor point.
  • Check ground, overhead obstructions and wind limits before raising the platform.
  • Keep an exclusion zone below and a ground rescue plan in place.
  • Ask for evidence of operator training. IPAF is the common international scheme.

Frequently asked questions

Scissor lift or boom lift?

A scissor lift goes straight up and has a large platform. A boom lift reaches up and over obstacles and can go higher. See our guide for a side-by-side comparison.

What is the difference between platform height and working height?

Platform height is where the floor of the platform reaches. Working height adds the reach of a person standing on it, usually about two metres.

Do operators need training?

Yes. Ask your HSE team which training evidence your site accepts, and tell us if you need operators supplied.
