Mobile and rough-terrain crane rental in Saudi Arabia
Cranes for steel erection, plant equipment lifts, pipe and tank placement and shutdown work, supplied with the operator, riggers and documents your site requires.
Ariane Ventures rents mobile and rough-terrain cranes for construction, refinery, oil and gas and industrial plant work. Tell us the load, the radius and the site conditions, and we confirm a suitable crane, operator and rigging crew in the quote.
A crane is chosen from its load chart, not from its headline tonnage. The figure that matters is the capacity at your working radius, boom length and set-up, so we ask for those before we recommend a machine.
Typical uses
- Steel erection and structure assembly
- Replacing or moving plant equipment during shutdowns
- Placing pipe, tanks and modules on site
Typical crane classes
| Class | Typical use |
|---|---|
| 25–50 t | Light erection, placing pipe spools, tanks and small plant items, loading and unloading trucks. |
| 50–100 t | Steel erection, mechanical and piping work, medium plant equipment during maintenance. |
| 100–250 t | Heavy plant items and shutdown lifts where the radius is large or the load is bulky. |
| Above 250 t and crawler cranes | Large and critical lifts. Quoted on request after a site visit and lift study. |
Sizes are typical classes. Availability and model are confirmed per request.
How we size a crane for your job
Load and rigging weight
Add the weight of slings, shackles and spreader beams to the load. On heavy lifts the rigging alone can weigh several tonnes.
Radius and boom length
Capacity falls quickly as the load moves away from the crane. We read the load chart at your pick and set-down radius, not at the closest one.
Ground and outriggers
Soft or sloping ground reduces safe capacity. Outrigger mats or pads spread the load, and the ground has to be confirmed before the crane arrives.
Lift plan and roles
Critical lifts need a written lift plan and named roles: operator, rigger, banksman and appointed person. Tell us which of these you supply.
Tell us: Load weight, working radius, lift height, ground conditions and site access.
Compliance and documents
- Inspection certificate from an accredited third-party body, and conformity documents for imported lifting equipment.
- A current load chart in the cab and a signed pre-start checklist at handover.
- Evidence of operator and rigger competence, and site approval where your client requires it.
- For classified hazardous areas, tell us early. Aramco standards call for explosion-proof accessories on cranes working in those zones.

Frequently asked questions
What crane size do I need?
It depends on the load weight, the rigging weight, the working radius and the boom length, not on the load weight alone. Send those figures and the ground conditions and we recommend a size from the load chart.
Do you supply operators and riggers?
Yes, on wet hire. Specify the roles you need, because an operator certificate does not cover rigging or signalling.
Can you lift inside a refinery or plant during a shutdown?
Yes, subject to the plant's permit-to-work, gate-pass and document requirements. Send your HSE requirements with the request and plan critical lifts well before mobilisation.
